Finally we have a Wednesday where we have sunshine! King country was great today, even a little on the warm side, for weeks we've been trying to get there but have had such little luck with good weather. It's such a great, safe place to catch up, a bonus they sell great coffee!
It was nice to see some new faces, Gemma and Summer, Holly with little Asher and our regulars Natalie and Sophie, Anita with smiley Huon and myself and Bailey. All of the kiddies seemed to play nicely together.... always nice to see! Unfortunately we missed out on meeting Belinda and Robyn and Mandi and Sharee had prior arrangements with their crew!
Maybe we should head to King country for our weekly dates? If not every week every 2nd with a park or play centre thrown in on the other weeks? Should we use play centres as a back up on a rainy day? Nat came up with an idea of a visit to the Springwood hotel (they have a great indoor play gym there) perhaps another great wet weather place to visit?? Might just get over that way one day soon and check it out!!

Butterfly tree markets
On Sunday I dragged Justin and Bailey off to the butterfly tree markets on the Gold Coast. It was a bit of a struggle for me as I had just done a night duty but nonetheless we went and they were lovely....
Again, more pretty things for girls but this time there were some stands selling boy's shirt and pant sets and the most funky little hats and shoes. I guess they were a little on the expensive side but divine!!
All up there were about 20-25 stalls, worth a look, I'll be heading back there : )
I ran into Dani who had a stand there, she does the most amazing photos of newborns, she is the most creative person I know and what a kind, caring gorgeous woman she is! If anyone is looking for some portraits of their babies or children I highly recommend her, we had some done when Bailey was just 15 days old and they are just superb!! She does live on the coast but is more than happy to travel to Brisbane! Her link http://www.daniellehamiltonphotography.com
Here are some of our fav's of Bailey!

Change of plan!
After a rush to change plans for our meet up today thinking yet again the rain Gods were working against us, not with us it turned out to be the most delightful day. It would have been nice to spend some time outdoors after all of this up and down weather we have had in recent weeks!
I don’t think today was a complete fail, we have enough toys at our place to fill a childcare centre (perhaps not the space) and I think the kiddies enjoyed themselves, I know I did....with all the yummy food that was baked, quiche, loads of yummy cookies, pumpkin scones and of course some healthy fruit!
It was also nice to meet Anita and little Huon, what a cute smile that little boy has! I could see the envy of the other kids playing in his eyes; you could just tell that he wanted to be running around too! It’s so hard to believe our babies were that small? It only seems like yesterday that I would get so excited when Bailey would smile at me, or when I could make him giggle.... now 13 months on I can’t wait til he actually realises he is brave enough to let go and take those few steps that he needs to get going. Every day he makes me smile and every day he melts my heart, I love watching him grow : )
I miss the weekend sunshine and wish more weekends had weather like this.... how nice to finally after 10 years of shift work to actually get some time off when everyone else gets time off? I can now actually have a semi normal life and spend time with my family and friends. I love it!

Markets here I come....
Such a full weekend of markets, come to think of it for the next few weeks, I can't wait but already Justin is not looking forward to it before they even start!
Since becoming a mum I guess our weekend entertainment has changed dramatically, no more nights out spending a stupid amount of money on alcohol and getting up to all sorts mischief then feeling like you have been hit by a bus the next morning! Oh not to mention those Sunday afternoon sessions at quaint little pubs by the bay (Redland Bay hotel was always a favorite of mine : p). Our nights out are fish and chips at the beach or take away but nice the arrival of Bailey, we are always home by 7pm, and our Sunday afternoon sessions have turned into a raspberry lemonade and a walk in the park, a day at the beach or checking out some markets!! I guess they have become a part of our lives now not only to kill the boredom and get us out of the house but to entice us to spend money on things that we probably don't need but can't resist (I am a sucker for anything cute!). Mind you I do love to see peoples creativity and only wish I too were like that...
I thought I would share a few of the markets which I know of and will probably go check out....If you manage to get to any of them let me know what you thought and if there was anything that you particularly liked!
If you know of markets that I have missed please post it, I would love to check them out!
Enjoy: )

Wriggle it!
So, yesterday we had another meet up, this time at 'wriggle it' located in Kingston (a little far from Redlands, however was a request by one of our mums which very welcomed!).
Surprisingly it didn't all that long to get there, just seemed like it was miles away. It was good to catch up with the girls while our little ones played. They all seemed to have a great time, some in tears as they were dragged home : )
It was also lovely to meet Leiza, her twin boys, little girl and their friend Sara. Welcome to the group!
Here is hoping she would like to come to future meet ups, I know I am looking forward to next weeks catch up at King Country Nursery!
Bailey getting lost in the ball pit!
Mums and bubs catching up!
Cheese Sophie!
Weee...
Smile Patrick!
Mmmm babaychino and fairy bread : )
Giddy up Amelia!
La la laaaaa....

Welcome : )
Since having Bailey I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mum. I threw all my energy into getting to know him and raising a happy and healthy little boy. I feel very blessed that I have been able to do this and have had such a generous husband who has let me take control. I love spending time with my boys, yep all three of them (yep, including Leroy our ever so forgiving puppy) but have found that as Bailey grows older, maybe he needs more?
Whilst Bailey is my world, he is all I think about every minute of every day. I have found that being a mummy can sometimes be socially challenging, not just for myself but also for my husband.... Especially if you don’t know many people or have friends with children, regardless of age....
So.... I open this blog to anyone (mums, dads, aunts, uncles and grandparents) who share a similar story (or who just want to join me) who are interested and looking for social interaction with a bunch of new people. Together, we can share in new and old friendships, some good laughs, great coffee, sharing stories, giving support (even in those times of parenting where you just want to pull your hair out!) and making new memories....
Since having started a mothers group on ‘meet ups’ I have had the pleasure of meeting some other mums in the same situation, I have also really enjoyed catching up and rekindling very old friendships. Without the support and help from Mandi and Nat this blog would not be here, nor would our play dates be as enjoyable as they are. For this I thank you girls’ ox
